What Is the LI-2?

The LI-2 is a compact, rechargeable headlamp combining a focused spotlight and a wide floodlight in one unit, worn on an adjustable headband with a 360° rotatable head. It's the unit for hands-on work at close or mid range — inspection, repair, or moving around a site at night — where both hands need to stay free.

Key Specifications

Primary Output

Two independently switchable light sources: a spotlight (>260 lm max) and a floodlight (>320 lm max). Six total modes — spotlight High, Low and Flash, plus floodlight High, Low and Ultra-long — with pattern memory to recall the last-used mode.

Battery & Power System

Built-in 3.7V 2000mAh rechargeable lithium battery, charged via Type-C. Minimum standby power consumption preserves charge between uses.

Runtime

14–40 hours depending on mode. Spotlight: High >11h, Low >21h, Flash >9h. Floodlight: High >15h, Low >35h, Ultra-long >90h.

Charging

2.5-hour charge time via Type-C.

Physical Configuration & Mounting

80g without headband, 75.5 x 52.5 x 47mm. Worn on an adjustable headband with a 360° rotatable head, so the beam can be re-aimed without moving your head or hands.

Storage & Maintenance

If stored long-term, the manufacturer recommends a recharge cycle roughly every 3 months to maintain battery health.

Deployment & Portability

At 80g, this is the lightest unit in the range — worn rather than carried or mounted, ready the instant it's needed.

  • Sports & outdoor activities — see our Events guide
  • Camping & hunting — general-purpose hands-free lighting

Comparison reflects general characteristics of a standard single-mode headlamp as an equipment category, not a specific competitor product.

Safety, Noise & Emissions

Battery operation means no emissions and silent use. The hands-free headband frees both hands for the actual task rather than holding a light throughout, and the 360° rotatable head lets the beam follow your line of sight without moving your head. No IP rating is published for the LI-2 — see our guide to IP ratings and industrial lighting standards for what these ratings cover, and confirm with us directly if a specific ingress rating is a requirement for your use case.

The LI-2 is a good fit if:

  • You need both hands free while working with a light aimed where you look
  • You want the lightest, most personal unit in the range — worn, not carried or mounted
  • You need long low-mode runtime for overnight or extended personal use

Consider a different model if:

  • You need a handheld unit with warning modes — the LI-S3 adds red/blue signalling
  • Lighting a wider area or a fixed position — the LI-300 covers more ground
